Emily Dickinson

The Dust behind I strove to join
Unto the Disk before —
But Sequence ravelled out of Sound
Like Balls upon a Floor —

I was wondering if this poetry that you post is from your own pleasure reading or from poems you are using with the children? This is one of my favorites so far :)

This is a poem that was referenced in a learning differences book I am reading.

I usually just post whatever I come across that I really like. Sometimes it is in my own reading, and sometimes I find things while doing research for lesson plans. ;o)

Right now the kids are doing A.A. Milne and Alfred, Lord Tennyson. The poem in the sidebar is an excerpt from a poetry reading we did for school.
